Mint Set with Trial Strike
It was announced on October 1, 2019 that the metal in the bicolor 100 forint coin would change, although the new coin is identical in color, size and design to the 100-forint coins already in circulation.
The old coins are of galvanized steel (center part plated), and the new ones are cupro-nickel alloys (outer ring Cu65Ni15Zn20l; inner core Cu75Ni4Zn21). Both are dated 2019. This set has both of these plus a 2018 dated cupro-nickel trial piece that is marked “MINTA” for “Trial.”
Only 4,000 of these sets were made.
