Europe’s Swimming, Diving, Synchro, and Open Water Swimming Championships are again being held in the Hungarian capital and in Balatonfüred from August 4-15. The city hosted the first European Championships in 1926, then in 1958, and most recently in 2006. As in 2006, the competitions in swimming, diving and synchronized swimming will be at the “Hajos Alfred Aquatic Complex” on Margaret Island. The Open Water Swimming will be held in Lake Balaton (Balatonfüred). 44 nations will be represented, the most ever.
