The Magyar Nemzeti Bank has issued a 2000 forint brass collector coin in honor of Ábrahám Ganz (1814-1867) to honor the 200th anniversary of his birth. This is the ninth coin in the series celebrating Hungarian engineers and inventors, and their innovations and inventions. The year 1844 depicted on the factory on the front of the coin refers to the fact that the bicentennial of the founder’s birth coincides with the 170th anniversary of the founding of the Ganz Works. In front of the building, there is a railway car wheel made using shell casting technology, patented by Ganz. A portrait of Ganz is found on the back. The commemorative coin was designed by Balázs Bitó.
