    Globi, a cartoon character often called Switzerland's Mickey Mouse, is a human-like blue parrot with a yellow beak, a black beret, and a pair of red and black checked pants. He was born in 1932 to help the Globus department store celebrate its 25th anniversary.
    He is one of the most popular characters in Switzerland, with sales of over 9 million books, a full-length movie, a theme park, and an uncountable amount of assorted merchandise. This, however, is his first legal tender coin.
