HUNGARY’S E.U. COUNCIL PRESIDENCY 2011 OFFICIAL MINT SET
For the first time since it joined in 2004, Hungary succeeded Spain and Belgium to begin its turn as head of the Council of the European Union from Jan. 1 to June 30. Its priorities include stabilizing the European economy, EU expansion, an energy summit and the integration of Roma people. The B.U. coin is of .925 silver, weighs 10 grams and is 30 mm in diameter. Only 3,000 coins were made and are only available in this set, which also includes Hungary's six circulation coins: 5, 10, 20, 50, and bimetallic 100 and 200 forints.
